Ladies of Light Meeting November 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Come to the Ladies of Light November 26 meeting at 7:00 p.m. and learn sign language and enjoy fellowship and a cookie exchange.  Bekah McCredie will be teaching 1 or 2 Christmas songs in sign language. Participating in the cookie exchange is optional but if you care to join in, please sign up in the foyer to ensure a variety of cookies are brought. Bring homemade cookies or bars packaged in 6 cookies/bars per bag. Cookies should be no less than 1 1/2″ in diameter.  Please email the recipe to or bring it the night of the event to share.

Blood Drive at Guinston

Give the gift of life.  The next blood drive is on Wednesday, December 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Walk-ins welcome but appointments are appreciated and help improve your donation experience.  The two ways donation appointments can be made are as follows:  1. Go to and click on “Donate Now”;  2. Call 1-800-771-0059.  Please bring your ID when donating.

Christmas at Old Forge Family Farm

Between 10:00 a.m. and dusk, tag or cut your tree for Christmas and enjoy browsing through the Christmas Shop in the barn as you savor a cup of hot chocolate and a variety of packaged snacks. All proceeds from the Christmas Shop go toward the Guinston Building Fund.  A percentage of the Christmas tree sales also benefits this fund.

Christmas Program

The Heart of Advent will be held on December 19 at 6:30 p.m. Testimonies will be held on the four themes of Advent–Hope, Love, Joy and Peace.  If you care to share your testimony on one of these themes, please contact Jordan Helsel (717-870-7563) or Dylan Helsel (717-870-8612).  Cookies and hot chocolate will follow the service.

Testimonies for Ladies of Light Program

Do you have a testimony of God’s working in your life. provision, discipline, goodness, etc.  Ladies of Light is looking for men or women who would like to share their personal testimony at their January 28, 2022 meeting.  Please consider this way to serve God.  Contact Joy Snook or Teri Hall if you are interested or have any questions.

Historic Stone Meeting House Restoration Fund

Our Historic Stone Meeting House is in need of some structural repairs and renovations.  A historic architect and restoration specialist will be contacted to maintain historic authenticity.  A Historic Restoration Fund has been set up to complete the restorations as needed.  To designate funds for this purpose, please indicate “Historic Restoration Fund” on your check or envelope.

Blankets for Project Linus

Guinston will be participating in Project Linus.  The organization distributes blankets to hospitals and many other York County organizations that help children.  Please give your newly-made blanket to a Guinston Deacon.  Contact Marie Hyson if you have questions.

Holy Lands Trip

Enjoy 13 days of walking where Jesus and the other biblical figures walked. Immerse yourself in the stories of the Bible and watch as they come alive before your eyes.
