On May 27 at 7:00 p.m., Beth Riale will be leading the Ladies of Light in constructing patriotic-themed planters. All supplies will be provided. There is no charge, but a free-will offering will be taken to help defray the cost of materials. There will also be a plant swap, so bring your extra perennials to share and pots or boxes for transport. Please sign up in the narthex to ensure supplies are available.
Step into History: Enjoy worshipping in a stone meeting house that is older than our country itself. This summer we have four Sundays with these special worship services in Guinston’s Historic Stone Meeting House. On each of the first Sundays in the summer months (6/5, 7/3, 8/7, and 9/4) we will worship at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Invite a friend to enjoy these services and introduce them to your church family.
Our Historic Stone Meeting House is in need of some structural repairs and renovations. A historic architect and restoration specialist will be contacted to maintain historic authenticity. A Historic Restoration Fund has been set up to complete the restorations as needed. To designate funds for this purpose, please indicate “Historic Restoration Fund” on your check or envelope.
Guinston will be participating in Project Linus. The organization distributes blankets to hospitals and many other York County organizations that help children. Please give your newly-made blanket to a Guinston Deacon. Contact Marie Hyson if you have questions.
